Dr Rainer Baumgart is a physicist and has been involved in the topic of information security for over 30 years. He held senior positions at RWTÜV and TÜV Informationstechnik GmbH and has been a member of the Management Board since secunet Security Networks AG was founded in 1997 and was Chairman of the Management Board until June 2019.

He is also active as a member of the European Network and Information Security Agency Stakeholder’s Group at European level.
