The aim of the ISEB is to investigate the business and economic implications of security in e-business as well as information security in companies and public institutions. The focus is on economic analyzes and organizational design tasks, which are always embedded in the interdisciplinary context of information security. Examples are information risk and information security management or issues of information security and trust in online commerce. The involvement of economists, computer scientists, social scientists and lawyers at the ISEB as well as their integration into the Horst Görtz Institute for Information Security (HGI) takes into account the need for interdisciplinary research right from the start.
